The Talon Winery is one of the most robust and popular wineries near Grand Junction, and for good reason. Not only can you have a taste of Talon Wine at both the St. Kathryn Cellars and the Meadery of the Rockies, but you can take a full-fledged wine tour through the facility where the magic happens. Taste the individual raw ingredients that go into making the iconic wines.

Talbott Farms is all about bringing farm fresh food to the mouths who visit, and while you can shop around their farmer’s market for a spell, the real prize is their tap room and winery. While you won’t be having any wine tasting sessions, you’ll be able to buy wine and specially-crafted hard ciders. Buy them while you can!

Bookcliff Vineyards offers a behind the scenes wine tasting experience that will decorate your palate with the tastes of Colorado, not only will you be able to gulp down some wine, but you can eat some cheese and chocolate. The Cabernet Sauvignon Hawkridge 2020 is a wonderful wine that tastes perfect with a grilled steak. The wine here makes a great present for someone you care about.

With the red rock creating a warm and cheery environment, Carboy’s outdoor venue makes for a fun and happy wine tasting experience. Wine tastings happen at a walk-in basis, and allow you to drink several small glasses of wine with nuts and olives to assist your taste buds. Sensory tastings are also an option, where you can learn how to incorporate smell into your tasting regimen.

How often can you go wining in a cave? At Colterris Winery, you’ll be able to take the delicious drinks underground at the Wine Cave. Tastings are available throughout the day. You can even purchase a lunch for two that includes a la carte sandwich options and a charcuterie board.

Elegance and class is what Maison la Belle Vie Winery is all about. Walk through the doors of this historic building and have a wonderful tasting experience. The bottles are pricey, but the quality of the wine is second to none. Plus the venue is stunning.

One of our favorite places to go for a scrumptious glass of wine is the Carlson Wine Tasting Room in downtown Grand Junction. It’s a small, family-owned operation with amazing white, fruit, and red wine options. If you want to get out and explore the valleys of Palisade, then you can visit the vineyard to grab a bottle instead. It’s fun either way!

Two Rivers Winery is one of the closest wineries to Castle Creek Manor. The chateau is hidden away near the entrance of the Colorado National Monument, and offers a fun wine experience for people who are in the middle of doing other things.
